The meeting was called to order at 9:20 E.T.

Approval of Minutes:

The minutes of the March, 2000 BOD meeting were accepted and approved.

President's Report:

Larry reported that the MACNA database has been completed. He has also been going through our entire archives and trying to organize them and list what he has.

MACNA XIII:

Larry has contacted the hotel re: MACNA XIII but we still don't have a contract ready for  approval.  He hopes to have this finalized in the next week.

Committee assignments tabled until our next meeting.

Fundraising:

Larry had nothing to report as he really didn't have time to work on this in the past month.

Scholarship:

Still only one application on file although there were 5 requests.

Past President's and MACNA XII Report:

Bryan reported that MACNA XII progress is moving along. Approximately 5,000 flyers have been distributed, we have 40 registrations, 22 booths sold and the MACNA XII page on the website is getting more hits. Kelly requested more flyers. Dennis asked if they had been sent to all clubs. Bryan stated they were sent last month but Dennis says they haven't been received by CMAS. Chesapeake has received flyers.

Speaker selection has been finalized and we are beginning to receive topics. This should be completed by the end of the month.

Ad is running in FAMA and one is to be placed in MFM.

Treasurer's Report:

Dave reported a balance of $6,331.00 in the treasury.

Vice President & Membership:

Kelly reported that 2 new members joined in the last week. That makes a total of 3 since our last meeting. The last 2 were from the old FAMA ad and 1 was an on-line registration.

Kelly and all extended a warm welcome to new member Mike King of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Keith, from the Kalamazoo area. Keith stated he is trying to start a club in his area and could use some help. Larry offered to help by phone. (Subsequent to the meeting, Al also offered MASM's help.)

Keith was enthused that 8 people attended their first meeting so it sounds like they're off to a good start!

Larry stated that Mike has been asked to sit on the MAC Advisory Board and asked that he keep us informed of developments. Congrats, Mike!

Webmaster's Report:

Nancy reported that she has completed the private BOD archive area on the website, put up a page covering the  MACNA XII Beginners' Track presentations and continued with routine updates.

Editor's Report:

Joe requested help with getting material for our next issue. Kelly, Dennis and Bryan will submit articles. Joe asked the delegates present to if they could submit something about their clubs.

A discussion followed regarding the CRTF's proposed legislation which could severely affect the hobby. Mike King offered to submit an article covering recent activities.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:40 pm E.T.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Swart
