We are working on a upcoming school tank project and I am trying to see what other clubs have done to negate the legal risks associated with it. Obviously potential injuries or damage to the school need to be addressed and we also want to make sure the club is protected. What steps have other clubs taken to protect themselves?

In Coastal Oregon the schools were the owners of the tanks and we were just volunteers who cam buy to make sure everything is alright.
Some of these tanks were open and in classrooms and others were flush with a wall with a locked access room.
Ask their Bio / Science Dept what rules they have for keeping animals in the classroom / school.
