Sponsored  by

MASNA, Marine Aquarium Society of North America believes the greatest asset to an aquarium society is the benefit received by the membership when a speaker gives a lecture at the monthly meeting. A live presentation by a speaker at a local meeting adds immensely to the enjoyment of the hobby and to further the knowledge of the attendees. MASNA, realizing the financial cost of bringing in an outside speaker, is proud to offer to our members “MASNA Speaks”, now sponsored by Reef Nutrition.

Basically, here's how the program works. Choose your speaker from our speaker database and MASNA will pay up to $300 of the actual transportation and lodging expenses, for any of these speakers to attend your meeting.

After selecting your speaker you will need to contact them directly to arrange a convenient schedule. Once the date has been finalized, please contact Jeff Myjak at MASNASpeaks@masna.org. It is imperative to get in touch with Jeff because MASNA has set a limit of 24 total speaking engagements per year for MASNA Speaks. Availability is based on a first come-first serve basis.

Transportation for the speaker should be arranged by you.  After receiving permission to proceed from Jeff, you should submit a copy of your invoice for the reimbursement of travel expenses. Jeff must also be notified of a mailing address for the shipment of MASNA material. MASNA material includes brochures and membership applications.

All societies are limited to one annual participation. Member societies wishing to take advantage of this valuable program must include the current MASNA Logo and current MACNA banner, with the appropriate links, on the front page of their websites.
